RICKY ATKINSON & COMPASSION - 10th Anniversary Reunion

In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Ricky Atkinson and Compassion comes this new DVD of the group in concert. This concert was recorded live in Pigeon Forge, lending the video the warmth that comes from the personal interaction between the artists and their audience. Ricky Atkinson and other group members speak throughout the recording, introducing songs, as well as giving occasional commentary.

The current group, Ricky Atkinson, Loren Harris and Greg Cook, sing most of the songs, with original group members Samuel and Labreska Atkinson (Ricky's brother and sister-in-law, respectively) singing "Love Mercy and Grace." Everyone sings on stage together for the finale, a beautiful rendition of "Only Gonna Never Die."

Many of the songs look forward to the splendors of heaven. "Here For Now," "Outside The Gate" and "Get On Board" all address the wonderful future that awaits all Christians. "When Jesus Comes" works on a similar theme, although its faster pace expresses the joy and gladness that comes from the anticipation of Jesus' return. "We Will" is another upbeat song, clearly examining the duty of Christians to take action in God's will. Overall, this recording is packed with strong messages paired with excellent music and vocals.
