GOLD CITY - Treasures Of Gold

Gold City is widely considered to be one of the top Southern Gospel quartets, and is one of today’s best-selling and most-loved groups. “Treasures Of Gold” is their new collection of classic hits, with songs from both past and present. Some of these song have survived for decades with their timeless sounds, but the project also includes three brand new, recently recorded songs that fans are sure to love.

The first single from the album is “I Will Stand,” which provides a timely message for today. The song points out that “I stand upon the truth of Jesus, He’s the reason I’m alive, so how can I not live to make Him known?” With a strong message backed by moving vocals, this song encapsulates the need to take a stand in today’s society.

Another song from the album is “If Church Pews Could Shout,” written by Kenna West, Lee Black, and Michael Farren. Like the other songs on the album, this contemplative piece benefits from the crisp quartet harmonies on the chorus backed by understated, satisfying accompaniments.

Gold City has won more than 65 Singing News Fan Awards, recorded over 40 projects, been touring for more than 37 years and won multiple Dove Awards. Gold City’s most recent recognition has been their induction into the 2017 GMA’s Gospel Music Hall of Fame. This new project has its roots firmly in the tradition of Gold City while being musically relevant for today with a sophistication that appeals to modern Southern Gospel audiences.
