Tennessee Bluegrass Band / The Future of the Past CD
Hot on the heels of their successful single release for “I’m Warming Up To An Old Flame,” The Tennessee Bluegrass Band release their debut project The Future of The Past on Billy Blue Records. Featuring Aynsley Porchek (fiddle), Lincoln Hensley (banjo), Tim Laughlin (mandolin), Lincoln Mash (vocals and guitar) and Tyler Griffith (vocals and bass), the group celebrated its album release with a Thursday night show at The World-Famous Station Inn in Nashville, Tennessee.
Shared Aynsley Porchak, “This album was a labor of love! I can honestly say that it was worth it, though. These guys amaze me every day with their level of musicianship, and thanks to them and the crew at Billy Blue, we have a project that I am proud of. From the hard-driving “Far From You” and the bouncy energy of “Kentucky Sun Going Down,” to the sincere, heartfelt “Tall Weeds and Rust” and good ol’ Gospel message of “Angels Watching Over Me,” there’s a good sampling of the music and themes we find most relevant in our music. We truly hope you enjoy The Future of the Past!”
Jerry Salley, producer and A&R director for Billy Blue Records commented, “The Tennessee Bluegrass Band is one of the most exciting new bands in our genre, and I am very grateful to have worked with them on their debut album, The Future Of The Past! With a deep respect for bluegrass history, this band carries on the traditional sound of their musical heroes who paved the way before them, while weaving their individually unique talents into every song. With artistry like this, the future of bluegrass music is in very good hands indeed!"
