The group puts the country in country music again as this long-awaited album effortlessly captures the nostalgic sound that country music listeners crave with brand new original songs from the group along with a cover or two for which the group is heretofore best known. The group recently released the first single from the album called “Sleep When the Party’s Over” to radio and dsps in early March.
A&R and Creative Director for Billy Jam Records, Jerry Salley, comments, "Three words come up again and again when folks see and hear the Malpass Brothers - REAL COUNTRY MUSIC! We are excited to work with them and represent their timeless sound."
Chris Malpass says, “I feel this is the best record we have done yet. Along with incredible producers Doyle Lawson and Ben Issacs, we worked to make it our own sound. We captured our heroes’ styles and influences while introducing our own music to the world. We are super excited and hope the people love it and feel the pure honesty we put into this project.”
Taylor Malpass adds, “I am super excited about the release of this album. While we have recorded several in the past, this one is my favorite thus far. Chris has written amazing songs for the album, some alongside many of our heroes, while still holding on to the traditional sound that we love and adore. There are a few covers on the album including our title track “Love is a Lonely Street” originally recorded by the Louvin Brothers. We can’t wait for everyone to take a copy of this album home! Thank you for all your patience and support.”
